[origin: EP0922714A1] The object of the present invention is to provide new resins having excellent compatibility with other resins, in addition to a low melting temperature, and a low viscosity, and to provide a toner which can be fixed at low temperature without losing its shelf life, and showing an offset phenomenon, and have an excellent fixing strength to a transfer paper by using the improved olefin resin as a binder resin; these objects can be achieved by an olefin resin which is a copolymer of an alpha -olefin and at least one constituent selected from the group consisting of maleic anhydride and maleate, wherein said at least one constituent selected from the group consisting of maleic anhydride and maleate is crosslinked, and by toners comprising the same.
