Longitudinal axes (RA) of the cutting tools (9, 10) are inclined at an angle to the vertical axis (VA) of 50 - 70 degrees and have an angle to the longitudinal direction of the ditch (1) being dug of less than 90 degrees. Preferably at least one motor (7,8) and the tools form a unit with a support (6) for attachment to the back of a digger bucket.

Eine Vorrichtung (4) zur Bearbeitung einer länglichen Vertiefung (1) im Erdreich (2) umfaßt mindestens einen Motor (7, 8) und von diesem angetriebene Fräswerkzeuge (9, 10), die um ihre Längsachse (RA) rotierend gelagert sind. Die Längsachse (RA) der Fräswerkzeuge (9, 10) verlaufen in einem Winkel (δ) zueinander, wobei die Mantelflächen (11, 12) der Fräswerkzeuge (9, 10) an einer Stelle ihres Umfangs unter Aufrechterhaltung eines Arbeitsspiels (15) derart beieinander liegen, daß eine durchgehende Arbeitsebene (AE) gebildet ist. <IMAGE>
