[origin: US6273823B1] A torsional vibration damper includes two modules which rotate relative to each other and a spring chamber which is sealed by providing the first module with a first guide surface which seals the spring chamber radially to the outside, and is spaced from the second module by a gap, with the first guide surface having an axial surface component facing the spring chamber, and by providing a second guide surface which has an axial surface component which faces the spring chamber and covers the gap on the spring chamber side.

Abstract (de)

Um bei einem Torsionsschwingungsdämpfer mit zwei gegeneinander drehbeweglich angeordneten Baugruppen (1,2) eine Federkammer (7) abzudichten, wird vorgeschlagen, daß die erste Baugruppe (1) eine erste Leitfläche (30) aufweist, welche die Federkammer (7) radial außen abdichtet, welche von der zweiten Baugruppe (2) durch einen Spalt (31) beabstandet ist und welche eine zur Federkammer hinweisende, axiale Oberflächenkomponente aufweist und daß eine zweite Leitfläche (50) vorgesehen ist, die eine zur Federkammer hinweisende, axiale Oberflächenkomponente aufweist und die den Spalt federkammerseitig überdeckt. <IMAGE>
