[origin: EP0923061A1] The method involves providing a device (5) at each bus stop with a receiver (7) and transmitter (8) for bus stop signals (H). Stored data relating to reception of these signals are used to predict the time until the next vehicle and the time is displayed on an indicator (6). Whenever the detector (4) senses a vehicle at a bus stop, the device stops the current time measurement, resets the indicator, updates a look-up table with the actual journey time of the vehicle, and transmits a new bus stop signal. An Independent claim is included for a device for carrying out the above method.
