Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19713446A1] The invention relates to a coupling for fuel lines or the like. The insert section (4) of a first coupling section (1) which is connected to a first fuel line is axially inserted into a socket section (11) of a second coupling section (2) which is connected to a second fuel line. Both liquid-tight coupling sections (1, 2) which are inserted into each other form a fuel passage duct and are connected to each other by means of a holding device which comprises at least one pair of blocking elements (19, 20, 21, 22) that can be axially inserted into each other when said coupling sections are joined and which are respectively and eccentrically arranged on one coupling section (1, 2) in relation to the passage duct. When the liquid-tight coupling sections (1, 2) are inserted into each other, sufficient play is provided to limit mutual swivelling of both coupling sections (1, 2) to the rotational path defined by said play. The holding device also comprises at least two locking elements (18, 23, 24) engaging with each other for mutual retention of both coupling sections (1, 2) when said liquid-tight coupling elements (1, 2) are joined to each other and when said blocking elements (19, 20, 21, 22) are inserted into each other.
