Abstract (en)
The handling system is used in a cigarette processing plant in which the cigarettes are carried in containers through the various processes. The containers are held in buffer stocks in a rack system (Z), while waiting between the different processes. A transfer system, comprising a vertical hoist, moves along a linear track (26) between the different process stations and between racks. The tracked system replaces the separate transport units used in conventional layouts.

Beschrieben wird eine Förderanordnung zum Fördern von in Schragen, die von Containern umgeben sind, angeordneten stabförmigen Artikeln der tabakverarbeitenden Industrie von Produktionsmaschinen (3,4) zu Weiterverarbeitungsmaschinen (16) unter Verwendung eines Zwischenlagers (Z) für leere und mit Artikeln gefüllte Schragen enthaltende Container. Der Zweck der beschriebenen Förderanordnung besteht in einer Vereinfachung ähnlicher bekannter Systeme. Die Lösung besteht darin, daß ein Transfermittel (24) für Container (8) zur direkten Kopplung der Maschinen (3,4;12) vorgesehen ist. Durch den Lösungsgedanken ist es möglich, ohne komplizierte sich selbsttätig steuernde Flurfahrzeuge Produktionsmaschinen mit Weiterverarbeitungsmaschinen und umgekehrt zu verbinden. <IMAGE>
