[origin: EP0923896A2] A plastic molded broom has bristles (2) molded in one operation with a backing plate (4). The bristles are normal to the plate and the plate is secured to a backing (1) with the ends (3) of the plate turned up to enables its bristles to reach into corners. The bristles are trimmed to an even bottom plane after assembly. The support plate can also be shaped into a convex profile to shape the broom head.
