[origin: DE19755199C1] The gas introduction unit for metallurgical vessels incorporates a refractory ceramic block (10) and a gas distribution chamber (20) located at the bottom of the block (10). Regions (12) passable for gas from this chamber - which is connected to a gas supply line (26) - run to the gas outlet end (16) of the block (10). The opening (260) of the gas supply line is covered by a section (34) of a freely liftable element (36). Under normal operating gas pressures this element - whose section (38) is attached to the chamber floor - is lifted from the opening (260). Under reduced pressures, however, it tightly covers this opening.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Gasspüleinrichtung für metallurgische Gefäße mit einem feuerfesten, keramischen Gasspülstein und einer am Boden des Gasspülsteines angeordneten Gasverteilkammer, von der aus sich gasdurchlässige Bereiche durch den Gasspülstein zum gasaustrittsseitigen Ende des Gasspülsteines erstrecken und einer, mit einer gasauslaßseitigen Öffnung in die Gasverteilkammer einmündenden Gaszuführleitung. Die gasauslaßseitige Öffnung der Gaszuführleitung wird von einem frei beweglichen Abschnitt einer Abdeckung überdeckt, der sich unter Betriebsdruck des zugeführten Gases von der Öffnung abhebt und bei vermindertem Gasdruck oder ohne Gasdruck auf die Öffnung legt. <IMAGE>
