The counter tool (45) and/or stamping die (33) are heated. The matrix comprises an ultra high molecular weight low pressure polyethylene, with a very high degree of polymerization. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Ausbilden einer Matrizenhohlform im Gegenwerkzeug eines Prägestempels (33) innerhalb einer Prägevorrichtung sowie eine Prägevorrichtung, die eine derart gefertigte Matrizenhohlform aufweist. Der Kern der Erfindung besteht darin, ein Gegenwerkzeug (45) aus einem zähelastischen bis zähharten Material, vorzugsweise thermoplastischem Kunststoff, einzusetzen und zum Ausbilden der Matrizenhohlform das Gegenwerkzeug (45) zu erwärmen. <IMAGE>
