The tensile element (22) provided in the length direction of the barrier beam (3) comprises a flat belt made from textile and/or plastic material, which is passed around the ends of the tree trunk half sections (7,8) forming the beam. The barrier beam is formed by round tree trunk sections (4) placed end to end and supported on uprights (5) driven into the ground by the side of the road. Hollow posts (19) and breakable screws (20) are used to secure the beam to the uprights. The tree trunk sections are divided in the vertical direction into two half sections held together by wood screws and nuts.

Der Schutzplankenstrang (1) weist einen Firstholm (3) aus endseitig aneinander stoßenden Baumstammabschnitten (4) auf, die von in den Boden gerammten metallischen Pfosten (5) getragen und mit diesen über Schlupfhülsen (19) sowie Sollbruchschrauben (20) verbunden sind. Die Baumstammabschnitte (4) sind vertikal geteilt und bestehen aus zwei durch Schraubbolzen miteinander verbundenen Stammhälften (7, 8). In Längsrichtung ist zwischen die Stammhälften (7, 8) ein biegeelastisches Zugelement (22) als Flachgurt aus einem textilen Material und/oder aus Kunststoff in hochkantiger Erstreckung eingegliedert. Die Baumstammabschnitte (4) liegen in mit den Schlupfhülsen (19) verbundenen Schalen (16). Ihre Befestigung erfolgt mittels Holzschrauben (17) und ggf. mittels zusätzlicher Bandschellen (28). <IMAGE>
