The housing (1) in the installed state extends somewhat forwardly out of the brickwork recess. A front shutter is provided for the housing, in which operating components are accessible. The front shutter preferably has an introduction channel for the strap. The electrical drive motor (3) is formed as a highly compact, direct current collector motor connectable via an electronic rectifier circuit directly to mains voltage, particular 220 to 240 V. It has a power of more than 50 W, particularly 60 to 100 W. It is arranged in the plane of the winder (2) between the latter and the front shutter, preferably with its motor shaft parallel to the front shutter.

Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Gurtwickler für eine Verdunkelungsvorrichtung wie einen Rolladen o. dgl., mit einem im eingebauten Zustand in einer Mauerwerksausnehmung befindlichen Gehäuse (1) mit einer Haspel (2) zum Aufwickeln eines Gurtbandes, einem elektrischen Antriebsmotor (3) und einem zur Haspel (2) kuppelnden Untersetzungsgetriebe (4), wobei das Gehäuse (1) im eingebauten Zustand ggf. auch etwas nach vorne aus der Mauerwerksausnehmung herausragt, und mit einer Frontblende (6) für das Gehäuse (1), in der Bedienungselemente (7) zugänglich sind. Dieser ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der elektrische Antriebsmotor (3) als hochkompakter, über eine elektronische Gleichrichterschaltung direkt an Netzspannung, insbesondere an 220 bis 240 V, anschließbarer Gleichstrom-Kollektormotor ausgeführt ist. Von besonderer Bedeutung sind weiter die Anordnung des elektrischen Antriebsmotors (3) im Gehäuse (1), die Anordnung der Leistungsplatine (11) und die Anordnung der Steuerplatine (13). <IMAGE>
