[origin: EP0924579A1] Uses a device for slowing the oscillating flywheel or mechanical energy store of device, such as watch, when it exceeds its normal mechanical power output. An oscillating flywheel (1) is mounted eccentrically on a mobile body (4) within a frame, with the frame having a pressing track (2) which forms part of the container for the instrument, the pressing path being only a short distance from the path followed by the oscillating flywheel. The latter is mounted elastically on the mobile support body so that it just touches the pressing track so that it is braked by the pressing path when it, the flywheel, exceeds the mechanical power supplied during normal operation of the instrument.
