Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0924591A2] The foot pedal (2) is pivot (4) mounted and has a pair of cam elements (5,6) that engage the arms of a torsion spring (11). As the pedal is depressed the arms are spread and hysteris friction between the surfaces eliminate motion fluctuations. When foot pressure is removed the spring forces are applied to the cams to return the unit to the original position.
