[origin: DE19626924A1] The invention relates to a device for preparation of a respiratory gas with at least one respiratory gas source (4), a control system (12) for the respiratory gas flow and respiratory gas conveying means (6) for controlled respiratory gas flow. The gas conveying means (6) can be connected to at least one oxygen source (16), the respiratory gas source comprising a fan (4) driven by a motor. The device can also have at least one measuring device (8, 10, 19) to determine at least one parameter of the conveyed gas flow, the at least one measuring device (8, 10, 19) affecting the control system (12). The invention also relates to a process for preparation of a respiratory gas for living creatures (2).
