Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9807479A1] The invention concerns a device for fixing a boot onto a sporting good (1) of the snowboard type. The device comprises a footing (2), front (23) and rear (24) retaining means with thrust bearing surfaces (231, 241), front (21) and rear (22) guide means, and means for releasing (5) the foot, as well as means for fixing (4) it onto the sporting good (1). The device also comprises a boot (3) with its sole (33) capable of being supported on the footing (2), the boot having front (31) and rear (32) catching means. The device is characterised in that the front (31) and rear (32) catching means are applied respectively to the front (231) thrust bearing surfaces and the rear guide means (22) when the boot is first put on, then the rear catching means (32) follows a trajectory which modifies the distance which separates them from the front catching means (31) to come to rest on the rear thrust bearing surfaces (241) when the boot is on.
