[origin: WO9803337A1] Multicolor printing should be economically feasible on printing presses suitable for automation. To accomplish this, the invention configures a printing press that works on the collect-run principle. The multicolor impressions are collected on a rubber cylinder (21) or (26). The printing press is capable of processing two printing inks in one printing unit. To carry out the collect-run printing the sheets are fed in a cycle that is offset from the rotation of the collecting cylinder. This yields very compact and simply structured printing press configurations.
