[origin: WO9809875A1] Boxes with a hinge-lid normally have a collar (31) located in the package part (10) of the box which is attached with a lower part of the anterior collar wall and lateral collar flaps (33, 34) to the insides of the anterior box wall (12) and lateral box sides (14, 15) using glue. An upper area of the collar (31) which extends out of the package part of the box (10) forms visible surfaces (54). These are preferably given a full surface imprint or coating of printing ink (40) and an external protective layer (42). The attaching surfaces (51, 52) in the package part of the box (10) are free of printing ink and protective layers.
