[origin: WO9810163A1] The invention concerns a protective device for valuable documents, characterised in that it consists of a volume capable of being closed and divided into two compartments (7) and (9), compartment (7) for inserting the documents to be protected (8), while, in the second compartment (9), are provided caps (14) containing a pyrotechnic mixture which, when the device is wrongly manipulated, will burst into a flame which will penetrate the documents (8) in the first compartment (7).
