Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19730202A1] The invention relates to an electromagnetically actuated valve characterized in that it includes an axially moveable valve needle (6) which is formed by an armature (12), a valve closing body (13) and a connector piece (14) joining both parts. The tubular connector piece (14) has two longitudinally extended slots (50) which do not extend along the entire length of the connector piece(14) but which do extend over at least 75 % of the length thereof. Two elastic half- shells are located in the slotted area. The valve closing body (13) is secured to the non-slotted end of the connector piece (14). The valve is particularly suited for use in fuel injection systems of mixture compressing externally ignited internal combustion engines.
