[origin: DE19635801A1] A vane cell pump has a pot-shaped housing cover (2) which receives a pump unit (3). The pot-shaped cover (2) is prolonged in the axial direction and contains a damper (14) to effectively dampen pressure oscillations. The housing cover (2) further carries an inwardly projecting extension (6) for supporting the pump unit (3). A piston (15) that can slide against a spring (18) can be arranged on the extension (6) to improve the damper effect.
