The installation is divided into cooling regions (1, 2, 3) located respectively above, below and on both sides of the rolled sections (5a, 5b, 6). The cooling regions are operable individually or in combination with one another. Each of the cooling regions has at least one coolant spray nozzle (7) or nozzle array. The nozzles are controllable either individually or as arrays.

Um eine Kühlvorrichtung für fertiggewalzte Profile, insbesondere Stahlträger, bereitzustellen, die bei Änderung des Walzprogramms auf unterschiedlicher Geometrien und Größen der Profile einstellbar ist und eine gleichförmige Kühlung aller Profile bzw. definierter Teilbereiche gewährleistet, wird eine Vorrichtung vorgeschlagen, die Kühlbereiche aufweist, wobei jeweils ein Kühlbereich von dem zu kühlenden Profil (5, 6) aus betrachtet zu diesem oberhalb (1), zu beiden Seiten (3) und unterhalb (2) angeordnet ist, wobei die Kühlbereiche jeweils einzeln oder kombiniert einsetzbar sind, und ein Kühlbereich jeweils aus mindestens einer Düse (7) oder einem Düsenverband besteht, und die Düsen einzeln oder im Verbund steuerbar sind. <IMAGE>
