[origin: EP0926086A2] The device has a conveyor belt table around which conveyor belts run, transport rollers for guiding belts and devices for altering diameter of at least one driven transport roller. Within one transport roller is provided an elastic expansion component (10) of metal, which in the area of an outer running surface (20) acting indirectly or directly for guiding at least one conveyor belt, has a weakened area. The expansion component has the form of a metal bellows U-shaped in cross-section. The expansion component is provided with two concentric, face-side flanks (21) and a cylindrical cover surface connecting the flanks and forming a running surface. In the area of the running surface, parallel to the rotation axis, expansion seams (22) are provided.
