[origin: EP0926296A2] The machine has a blanket (5) passing through the press gap (4) next to the web (1) and supporting it, which is permeable to water. Before the blanket (5) reaches the press gap (4), it passes over at least one suction extraction unit (6). The blanket (5), together with the web (1), passes over the suction unit (6), with the web (1) on the outer side of the blanket (5). The shoe press (2) has at least a number of press zones across the direction (7) of web travel, each with an independent control. The suction extraction unit is a suction roller (6). The blanket (5) takes the fiber suspension from the paper formation stage from the stock inlet (8). The drying cylinder (3) acts as a tissue drying cylinder, where the dry web (1) is detached by a creping scraper (9).
