Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0926301A2] The back flow preventer has a back flow detector with a drive lock adjuster (50) actuated by the detector. A drive closure (40) is placed in a first position when the back flow is present and is movable into a second discharge position for the back flow, in which the drain is closed. The emergency closure (70) is movable by the adjuster to a third operational position, in which a discharge of the drain water is possible, if no back flow is present, and is moved by self adjustment into a closed position by the discharge.
