Oil or gas burner is controlled by an arrangement of a flame monitor (10), an ignition device (11), at least one fuel valve (13, 14) and a motor (12) of a combustion air fan. When there is a flame blow-off, switches are controlled so that the fan motor remains on to supply air to the burner while the ignition device and fuel valves are switched off. Preferably, the switching period is predetermined and can be adjusted. To ensure that the burner can be re-started, the devices are switched on in a given sequence, preferably automatically and immediately after the burner has been purged.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zum Steuern eines Brenners. Erfindungsgemäß wird dann, wenn während des regulären Brennerbetriebs ein Flammenabriß z.B. auf Grund von Störeinflüssen auftritt, eine Nachbelüftung durchgeführt. Bei der Nachbelüftung des Brenners bleibt ein Motor eines Verbrennungsluftgebläses eingeschaltet, während die Zündeinrichtung ausgeschaltet und das oder jedes Brennstoff-Ventil geschlossen wird. Nach erfolgter Nachbelüftung wird der Brenner wieder angefahren, wobei hierzu in einer vorbestimmten Reihenfolge die Zündeinrichtung eingeschaltet und das oder jedes Brennstoff-Ventil geöffnet wird.
