[origin: WO9851176A1] The invention relates to a helmet with an adjustable safety strap. The inventive helmet has at least one safety strap (3). The length of said strap can be adjusted by the wearer continuously or progressively in stages of 1.5 mm at the most, and fixed or released in any of the positions, with one hand, by means of a turn-lock fastener (1). According to some designs, the safety strap fits around the nape of the neck, whilst according to other designs the safety strap or straps (3) have a chin piece (5), as shown here, the turn-lock fastener (1) being positioned on said chin piece. According to further designs still, the safety strap fits under the chin. It is also possible for the turn-lock fastener (1) to be fixed to the shell of the helmet (2) with only its cords (8), which can be drawn together, being fixed in the actual safety strap.
