[origin: DE19725198A1] The invention relates to a fuel injection valve (1), in particular an injection valve for fuel injection systems in internal combustion engines, having a valve closing body (9) connected to a valve needle (8), and a valve seat body (3). A valve closing surface (10), fitted on the closing body (9), cooperates with a surface (11) of a valve seat (12) which is formed on the valve seat body (3). In addition, the fuel injection valve (1) has at least one fuel channel (20, 21) in the region of the valve seat body (3) and upstream from the valve seat (12), for feeding fuel to said valve seat (12). The invention is characterized in that a choking point (29) is fitted in every fuel channel (20, 21), and the cross section of the choking point opening can be modified from outside the fuel injection valve (1).
