[origin: EP0928011A2] In production of cast-resin dry-type transformers, the windings are cast with a filled or unfilled thermosetting resin mixture, the outer surface or the entire surface of the cast resin molding is covered with a layer of reinforced or unreinforced phenolic resin. An Independent claim is also included for epoxy resin-based dry-type transformers in which the outer surface or the whole surface is coated with a layer of optionally reinforced phenolic resin.
