Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9805265A1] A root post with a releasable insert for taking an impression is disclosed. The post includes a conical or cylindro-conical body (10) of which one end is insertable into a bore in the root canal of a prepared tooth, while the other end includes a tip for engaging an insert (12). Said insert (12) includes a recess with a shape matching that of the tip, and at least one hard spot which enables more accurate positioning and locks the tip relative to the insert.
