[origin: WO9812412A1] A drill shank has at one end a coupling section (3) to a drill anchoring rod and is provided with an axial bore (12) which extends into a section and continues in a radial bore (11) for introducing a fluid medium into the bore anchoring rod in connection with a fixed adapter part which surrounds the drill shank in the area of the section (9). The fluid medium can be a rinsing medium such as water or air. It may also be a hardenable medium such as a mortar suspension. The drill shank is provided with another duct separated from the bore (12) for guiding a cooling medium. The thus designed drill shank links a drill anchoring rod to a drill drive and also serves to introduce into the drill anchoring rod all media required to drill a bore hole and to set an anchor, depending on the anchoring setting process.
