[origin: DE19639100A1] An electric motor, in particular for motor vehicle windshield wipers, has a gear housing (1) and a lid (3) that closes the gear housing, is secured by at least one fastening element (10) to the gear housing (1) and is provided with at least one conductor element (4) arranged on the lid (3) for electrically connecting the electric motor to a current supply. The invention essentially consists in that the electric conductor elements (2, 4) on the lid (3) and gear housing (1) are electrically interconnected by the fastening element (10) for the lid (3). This allows electric connection plugs (7) for the electric motor to be arranged in any desired position on the housing (1) or lid (3).
