[origin: EP0928687A1] The cleaning device cleans via the use of steam and has a main cleaning member in the form of rotary brushes. The excess water and washing medium are removed by suction. The device is 1/4 and 1/2 the cylinder width of the cleaning apparatus and is movable on guide rails parallel to the cylinder axis by a motor. Similar cleaning units can be arranged next to each other for adjacent offset printer cylinders.
