[origin: GB2330826A] A collapsible container 10 has a base 12 and side walls 14 movable between erect and collapsed (Fig. 5) states and further comprising stacking formations 34, 36, 38, 40. These enable the containers to be securely stacked whether erect or collapsed, the formations of one container interlocking with corresponding formations on one or more like containers. The stacking formations preferably comprise projections and recesses in the form of castellations 34 along the top of the walls 14, castellations 36 on the underside of the base 12 and recesses 38, 40 in the faces of the walls. This particular arrangement of stacking formations enable the containers to be stacked in different orientations to one another so that a large and stable stack can be formed (Fig. 6). The side walls 14 are preferably hinged and an intermediate member 16 may be provided between the side wall 14 and the base 12.
