Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0929086A2] The pump is for a common rail fuel injection system, and has an intake valve with a connected plunger (10). The plunger is in active connection with an armature (8) of a magnet (1), which floats in the fuel. The armature is movable in a fuel-filled brass sleeve (3), which is sealed to the outside. The sleeve is cup-shaped and engages over a pole part (5). An O-ring (25) sealing the sleeve is fitted into the jacket surface (23) of the pole part.
