This device contains a database (8) for storage of selected sets of measurement values (2) and associated characteristic values (4, 5) which are a measure of the quality of production of the installation (1). Through successive evaluation of the measurement values (2) and of the associated characteristic values, the database generates and/or optimizes the parameters of the installation model through iterative optimization.
