Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2754068A1] The invention concerns a sensor with ionising radiation gas comprising combined in a pressurised gas chamber a module (1) for absorbing ionising radiation, generating electrons, and a module (2) for amplifying these electrons by electronic avalanche process. A module (3) for sensing and reading electronic avalanches comprises a sensing electrode (31) provided with a plurality of elemental sensing electrodes (31i) and an interface circuit (30, 32) coupled with the sensing electrode (31) provided with a plurality of sensing outputs and ensuring the tightness of the gas chamber. The invention is applicable to nuclear medicine and crystallography.
