[origin: EP0930093A2] Stirring apparatus comprises a container (23) for the material to be stirred and a stirrer arranged in the container (23) to rotate about its vertical axis (47). The stirrer at the inner wall of the container (23) has paddles (28) connected to a swivel arm (29) rotating about the axis (47). A tongue (27) is arranged at a distance from the inner wall of the container (23) with the paddles (28) between the tongue and the inner wall of the container.
