Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0930137A2] The cheese or a similar flexible item (11) to be cut is transported to the cutting device (13) on a conveyor belt (15) or on rolls which are accelerated or slowed down in speed as needed. To prevent the item (11) from unwanted movement on the transport device (15) it is held in position by a belt moving on rolls (29,30,33,34) from above and pushed by a rectangular pushing plate (26) from the back. Both units (26,29) are controlled by an electrical drive (24) and can be adjusted and operated individually. An Independent claim is included for a device for transporting such items.
