[origin: EP0930416A2] The top edge (2) of the flexible curtain-wall (1) is fixed to the top of the opening to be closed. The lifting shaft (4) is situated halfway up the curtain-wall and the lower (6) and upper (7) parts below and above the lifting shaft. The operating mechanism (5) positioned at the top edge of the curtain-wall has a main shaft (8) whose two ends (9,10) are joined to the ends of wind-up drive belts (11,12). The operating mechanism has an electric motor (15) preferably connected by a drive chain or toothed belt with the main shaft.
