[origin: EP0930459A2] A reflector (4) for a light source, especially for room lumination, consists of a self-supporting base layer with a reflection layer located on the inside facing towards the light source made from partly reflecting and partly transparent material. The base layer consists also of partly transparent material. On its outside (19) and/or inside (14) below the reflection layer it has an additional partly transparent layer. The base layer is preferably made of plastics and is colored. It and/or the additional layer has/have a bright color in the spectrum white to yellow or white to orange. The reflection layer consists of metal, especially aluminum.
