[origin: EP0930464A2] The burner electrode assembly has an electrode (1) fitted with a ceramics insulation body in a drilling in a holding plate (2). An elastic or pliable sealing ring is between the edge of the drilling and the ceramics body. The sealing ring is made of an elastomer material, preferably a temperature-resistant elastomer and especially polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), EPTM or silicone rubber. It can also be made of copper, or a copper alloy.
