[origin: EP0931631A2] The appts. to trim the edges of web materials is a roller cutter (7,8) between entry and exit sections. An edge cutter (8) trims the edges (5) of the web, to cut off edge strips (4). The trimmed edge strips (4) are pulled away by paired clamping rollers (15,16), which project over the sides of the edge strips (4) next to the trimmed area (3) of the web.
