[origin: EP0931748A1] The machine has a copy-conveying cylinder which rotates about its axis and takes up the incoming material, and also has a cutting cylinder. Cyclically active copy-holding devices (22) are associated with at least one of the cylinders and can be moved opposite to the rotary direction of the copy-conveying cylinder to grip the leading edge (36) of each next copy (35) after the cutting process. Independent claims are included for a rotary printing machine and method for cutting web material in puncture-less folding apparatus where material entering folding apparatus is supported on copy-conveying cylinder which interacts with cutting cylinder.
