In the press section of a machine producing a fiber web (1), at least one of the blankets (7, 8) flanking the web moves with it through the last press gap (3). On leaving the final press gap (3), the blanket (7, 8) is separated from the web (1) by a suction (9) or blowing unit and led away. At least one of the two blankets (7, 8) moves with the web (1) through the first press gap (2). At least one of the two blankets (7, 8) passes through all the press gaps (2, 3) in the press section. The counter rollers (5) of the first (2) and last (3) press gaps are pressed together slightly. The final press gap (3) is formed by a cylindrical counter roller (6) and a shoe press roller (11). After the final press gap (3), the blanket (7, 8) is moved past the suction unit, preferably as a suction roller (9) or a blowing unit preferably as a blowing box.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Pressenpartie zur Entwässerung einer Faserstoffbahn (1), insbesondere einer Papierbahn mit mindestens zwei Preßspalten (2, 3), wobei zumindest der erste Preßspalt (2) von einer Schuhpreßwalze (4) und einer zylindrischen Gegenwalze (5) gebildet wird und die Faserstoffbahn (1) nach einer teilweisen Umschlingung der Gegenwalze (5) des ersten Preßspaltes (2) auf möglichst kurzem Weg zur ebenfalls zylindrischen Gegenwalze (6) des letzten Preßspaltes (3) gelangt. Davon ausgehend soll die Führung der Faserstoffbahn insbesondere nach dem letzten Preßspalt verbessert werden. Erreicht wurde dies dadurch, daß zumindest durch den letzten Preßspalt (3) jeweils wenigstens ein beidseitig der Faserstoffbahn (1) angeordneter Preßfilz (7, 8) verläuft und nach dem letzten Preßspalt (3) ein Preßfilz (7, 8) mittels einer Saug- (9) oder Blaselementes (10) von der Faserstoffbahn (1) getrennt und weggeführt wird. <IMAGE>
