[origin: EP0932174A2] The switch mechanism (1) has an open switch element (4) whose movable contacts (8) are actuated by a slider (6). A close switch element (5) is arranged in series with the open switch element (5). The movable contacts (9) of the close switch element (5) are actuated by the slider (6). A closing movement of the close element (5) and an opening movement of the open element (4) are matched to each other such that to switch on the switch mechanism (1) by actuating the slider (6) a switch state can be achieved in which the close element (5) and the open element (4) are both closed. From this switch state, by actuation of the slider (6), the open switch element (4) can be moved into the OFF state.
