[origin: DE19644466A1] The invention starts from a renovation apparatus for pipes (1) with a tubular supporting body (2) capable of moving within the pipe (1) and having a rubber elastic expansible part (23) that can be pressed under an inner pressure onto the pipe wall, an inner, stiffer supporting part (21) joined to the part (23), and an inflatable balloon (11) that can be introduced into a pipe connection (10) or branch. A filling material can be supplied through filling openings (3) to damaged sites (4) sealed by the supporting body (2). The supporting part (21) has an outer contour (5) adapted to the pipe (1) and is composed of a semi-cylindrical shell (24) with a variable curvature radius whose outer surface is firmly and tightly joined to the expansible part (23), at least in the area of an opening (12) provided for the separate inflatable balloon (11).
