The device comprises a head (2) with a tool (20) which travels in a frame (1), performing a vertical reciprocating motion, applying the tool against the edge of the workpiece (100), supported by a matrix (10), on each down stroke. The tool is driven by an electric motor (3) and reduction gear unit, with the motor shaft (30) turning continuously in one direction and connected to the tool head by a cam (4) and lever (5) mechanism.

Ce dispositif comporte une tête de travail (2) pourvue d'au moins un outil de sertissage (20), qui est guidée en translation verticale dans un bâti (1), et est déplacée suivant un mouvement rectiligne de va-et-vient au moyen d'un motoréducteur électrique (3) tournant en continu et dans un seul sens (F), par l'intermédiaire d'un système à excentrique (4) et bielle (5).
