Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0933206A1] The printing plate (1) which is to be supplied is positioned when ready with its leading edge on the plate cylinder (2) so that the leading edge is taken up by the leading edge clamping device (5) through a reverse rotation (7) of the plate cylinder (2). The leading edge clamping device is then closed. Independent claim describes device for implementing the method having an intake chute (9) for inserting a printing plate and positionable on the plate cylinder so that the insert plate can be inserted by its leading edge into the clamping device as the plate cylinder turns back.
