Abstract (en)
The horizontal capping (4) attaches to the top of the wall (1), its edges (12,13) projecting over each side. The surface facing downwards is convex, that turned upwards, concave. Preferred features: The projections are symmetrical about the wall vertical center plane. Capping comprises adjacent identical straight sections (5,6) joined or fitted along the top, over the length of the wall. Each section is e.g. screwed or bolted to the top. There is an open housing (7) or groove into which the top of the wall is recessed. The top face of the capping is plane, or slightly concave, the section being most thick along the centerline. Thickness decreases outwardly to the sides. Each block is a microporous mortar, formed by a binder-impregnated aggregate of mineral particles. Each section weighs 25-35 kg per linear meter. The cappings have an external covering (14). This is of similar type and identical color to that (15) of the walls, or their paneled cladding.

Ce parement acoustique, prévu pour être rapporté et fixé sur un mur anti-bruit (1) s'étendant sensiblement verticalement, est caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste en un chapeau (4) disposé pratiquement horizontalement, apte à être posé et solidarisé sur le sommet (8) du mur, ce chapeau présentant des extensions (12, 13) débordant de part et d'autre des côtés latéraux de ce mur et présentant de préférence une face (10) dirigée vers le bas, de forme générale arrondie et dont la concavité est orientée vers le haut. <IMAGE>
