Abstract (en)
A sound absorbing sandwich panel has a central core with a honeycomb structure (4) with the hollow cells aligned at right angles across the width of the panel. The outer surfaces of the panel are completed by cover layers. The side nearest to the sound source is further fitted with an open mesh layer between the cover layer and the core. The mesh sizes are less than the diameters of the core elements and with the core elements form Helmholz resonators to absorb a range of frequencies. The core elements of the honeycomb can have a variety of cross sectional sizes.

Eine Sandwichwand (2), insbesondere für eine Hubschrauberzelle, bestehend aus einer oberen und einer unteren Deckhaut (8, 10) aus Faserverbundwerkstoff und einem zwischen diesen angeordneten, aus aufrecht stehenden Hohlkörpern (4) bestehenden Innen-, insbesondere Wabenkern (6) ist erfindungsgemäß in gewichtssparender und herstellungsmäßig einfacher Weise dadurch schallabsorbierend ausgebildet, daß die der Hauptschallquelle (H) zugewandte Deckhaut (8) aus einem offenmaschigen, mit einer flexiblen Deckfolie (16) belegten Faserverbundnetz (12) mit einer Kleineren Maschengröße als der Hohlkörper-Innenquerschnitt besteht. <IMAGE>
